Silox India Builds ₹600 Cr Chemical Plant in Dahej

Silox India has broken ground on its ambitious new inorganic chemical manufacturing plant at the Petrochemicals Industrial Park (PIP) in Dahej, Gujarat. With an investment of ₹600 crore, the plant represents a strategic expansion of the company’s production capabilities and a firm step toward bolstering India’s position in the global specialty chemicals landscape. Situated in one of India’s fastest-growing industrial hubs, the facility is poised to become a cornerstone in Silox India’s long-term infrastructure development and localization strategy.

State-of-the-Art Technology to Boost Capacity

The upcoming facility will integrate advanced inorganic chemical processing systems built for precision, safety, and environmental sustainability. Utilizing next-generation automation, process control systems, and energy-efficient technologies, the plant will manufacture a broad portfolio of specialty inorganic compounds used in applications such as water treatment, ceramics, pigments, glass, and catalysts. It will also enable the company to diversify its offerings to high-growth sectors such as agrochemicals and electronics.

In line with global sustainability standards, the unit will feature green technologies for waste minimization, effluent recycling, and reduced carbon emissions—reinforcing Silox India’s commitment to responsible manufacturing. The upgraded capacity will also serve as a platform for increased export volumes, enhancing the company’s global supply capabilities and aligning with the government’s goal of making India a top-tier chemical export powerhouse.

Driving Regional Growth and Employment

Strategically located in the Dahej SEZ, the new plant is expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment, contributing to the economic upliftment of the region. It will create job opportunities across skilled trades, engineering, operations, and logistics, while also driving ancillary industry development through enhanced procurement and transport activity. Silox India also plans to partner with local training institutions to develop a skilled talent pipeline that supports the plant’s long-term operations.

With construction now underway, the project marks a major milestone in Silox India’s growth journey. Once operational, the plant will not only expand the company’s manufacturing footprint but also play a pivotal role in reducing import dependency and promoting indigenous production. It positions Silox as a key player in India’s march toward becoming a globally competitive, innovation-driven chemical manufacturing hub.
