Truflo Invests ₹170 Cr in Pipe Manufacturing in Roorkee

Truflo by Hindware has started trial production at its newly established manufacturing plant in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. This marks the company’s third manufacturing unit, representing a ₹170 crore investment aimed at expanding production capacity and strengthening distribution networks across northern and western India.

The facility was inaugurated by Sandip Somany, Chairman of Somany Impresa Group, alongside Shashvat Somany, Strategy Head of the group.

Strengthening Capacity and Job Creation

With an initial production capacity of 12,500 tonnes per annum (TPA), the Roorkee plant will manufacture a wide range of products including CPVC, UPVC, SWR, and PVC pipes and fittings, as well as overhead water storage tanks. This addition takes Truflo’s overall annual production capacity to 80,500 TPA, factoring in its existing facility at Sangareddy.

The new plant is also poised to create up to 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities, supporting the local economy and contributing to regional development.

Driving Market Expansion in the North and West

Commenting on the milestone, Sandip Somany said, “Seeing our vision materialize through the commencement of trial production at Roorkee is truly rewarding. Growing from our first plant in Sangareddy to this point in just seven years highlights the commitment of our team.”

Rajesh Pajnoo, CEO of Truflo by Hindware, added, “This expansion strengthens both our manufacturing base and distribution network. The Roorkee plant will be instrumental in increasing our reach and deepening our presence in North and West India.”
