Belrise Industries to Setup Three New Manufacturing Units to Power EV Ambitions

Belrise Industries to Setup Three New Plants Across India

Belrise Industries Ltd has announced plans to set up three new manufacturing plants across India as part of its push into the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The upcoming Chennai facility will focus on metal component production, while a new plant in Pune will manufacture EV-specific components such as hub motors and chargers. The Pune unit is slated to go live in the first quarter of FY26, strengthening Belrise’s mechanical systems capabilities and marking a significant step forward in its EV transition.

Tech Collaboration to Accelerate EV Powertrain Entry

In a strategic move, Belrise has entered into a technology partnership with a Chinese manufacturer to support its foray into the EV powertrain domain. This alliance will enable Belrise to deliver cost-effective, locally optimized hub motors tailored to Indian conditions. As part of its roadmap, the company aims to boost its value contribution per electric two-wheeler from the current 10–15% to 20–25% by venturing into proprietary components such as motors, motor controllers, and chargers. Joint ventures with established EV component firms are also under consideration to further strengthen its footprint.

Diversified Growth and Global Outlook

With 17 manufacturing facilities and a portfolio of over 1,000 distinct products—including chassis systems, polymer parts, exhausts, and suspensions—Belrise currently supplies 29 OEMs and exports to markets such as Austria, the UK, Japan, Slovakia, and Thailand. The company’s long-term vision involves evolving into a full-system EV component provider, broadening its reach in both passenger and commercial vehicle segments while continuing to fuel innovation and growth in India’s automotive landscape.
