H&H Aluminium has officially opened its ₹150-crore solar panel frame manufacturing plant in Rajkot, Gujarat. Spanning 28,000 square meters, the facility is expected to produce 24,000 metric tonnes annually— sufficient to support up to 6 GW of solar energy capacity across India. The plant, launched by Union Minister C R Patil, is poised to become the country’s largest and most advanced aluminium frame production unit for the solar sector.
The Rajkot facility is expected to generate employment for around 300 people. According to Director Uttam Patel, the unit was built in just about a year and trial production began in June 2025. Full-scale operations are scheduled to begin within a month. Once at peak capacity, the plant aims to generate annual revenues between ₹700 crore and ₹750 crore.
A Step Forward in Domestic Manufacturing
India currently imports 90–95% of its aluminium solar frames. H&H Aluminium’s new facility aligns with the government’s Make in India campaign by promoting local manufacturing and reducing dependency on imports. “This is a significant opportunity for the solar and allied sectors over the next decade,” said Director Vijay Kaneria, pointing to India’s renewable energy goal of installing 500 GW capacity by 2030, with 280 GW projected from solar energy alone.
Company Poised for Growth Backed by Strong Financials
H&H Aluminium Private Limited, headquartered in Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad, is a new entrant in the fabrication and industrial machinery space. Though recently established with an authorized capital of ₹10 lakh, the company has secured open bank credit worth ₹65.85 crore through the Ahmedabad Mercantile Cooperative Bank—underscoring confidence in its long-term expansion plans. As it scales operations in Gujarat’s growing manufacturing ecosystem, H&H Aluminium is positioning itself as a key player in India’s clean energy infrastructure supply chain.
